Why do I Nap?
Hi! I am Nestor, creator of NAPs. If you got this far, you are probably wondering the same thing: "what's up with this guy's obsession with napping?" For one, I come from a planet named "South America," where our culture encourages us to nap (la siesta). Like, a lot. When I came to The States however, the pace of life was very different. I found myself working more and more, and napping less.
I forgot why I was doing what I was doing - walking through life like a sleep deprived zombie. But when I did find some sleep - I had some very wild dreams.
I began to compile a dream journal that became so long, it could be published as its own short novel! Over time, these dreams began to take shape into images and paintings I could see. It was like drawing a map for where I wanted to go in life.
I then began to show these paintings to people and something incredible happened; they saw parts of themselves in them too, and they wanted to have that piece of themselves in their home, and their clothing.
Many of these people showed the same symptoms: they were sleep deprived like me, and longed for something to fill the void left behind by non-stop hustle culture. A reminder to nap more, to dream more, and to become the truest version of themselves.
So yeah, I nap because I truly believe greatness lays in rest. Our dreams are the greatest compass to our success, not what society says you have to be.
